About Me

I am 30 years old and have found myself thrown into the world of primary teaching. When I am not teaching, you can find me bouncing about on a trampoline, legging it down the tumble track or attempting to throw heavy objects through the air at Athletics. Primary Teaching has always hung around at the back of my mind, but never did I think it would become a reality. I was born with a congenital defect- cleft lip and palate, which has made this journey just that little bit harder. The confidence to put myself out there (even in front of a load of 5/6 year olds) has been bloody difficult, but I would not change it for the world. Despite the highs and lows, I don’t want to be doing anything else! What Am I Doing? is the blog I have always wanted to write but have now only felt able to. I’m hoping it will be a productive one with blogs about what has gone before and what is still to come. Maybe no one will read it, but at least this will be a way to rid myself of the constant buzz of rambling thoughts in my head. Sinead xx
